Stoney River Assisted Living & Memory Care

"Care at Stoney River Falls Short"
The number of workers compared to residents isn’t enough. The education given to the people who care for the residents isn’t good enough. They also don’t know enough about taking care of someone who is very sick and close to passing away. From what our family has seen, we wouldn’t tell others to go to Stoney River.

"Assisted Living Tour Review"
The tour was okay. We saw everything, it looked clean. People were nice. Seemed like a good place. But not cozy for Mom. Too big, close to noisy road. Assisted living separate from memory care not ideal. Overall, good but not for Mom.

"Lackluster Care in Assisted Living Facility"
The place might look nice, but the care isn't great. Our family member has been there for a while, but as their needs increase, the care seems to decrease. If you're independent, you'll be okay, but if you need more help, they might not provide it. Families have to speak up for their loved ones. Even though they have a detailed care plan, they don't follow it. They're supposed to check on residents every hour or two, but they don't. Showers and baths are supposed to be given according to the plan, but they're not. The room and bathroom aren't very clean, which has been disappointing. They return phone calls and make plans, but not all the staff follow through with them.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Care and Cleanliness"
The place may look nice, but the care isn't good. Our family member has been there for months, but as their needs increase, the care seems to decrease. If you're independent, you might be fine, but if you need more help, they fall short. Families have to speak up for their loved ones. Even though there's a detailed care plan, it's not followed. Hourly or two-hour checks aren't done as they should be. Showers and bathing aren't given as planned. We're disappointed with how clean the room and bathroom are. Phone calls get returned and plans are made, but not all staff follow through.

"Disappointing Experience at Stoney River Assisted Living & Memory Care"
We're new to dealing with dementia. Stoney River wasn't helpful. When we told mom she needed more help, they didn't explain what to expect. We didn't know if she refused to go voluntarily, they couldn't take her. Mom was upset about losing her independence. They suggested giving her a sedative to make her come in willingly. It didn't work. She only stayed five days. They said they couldn't take her back. They didn't communicate with us about what would happen next. They didn't return our many phone calls. It was hard to know what to do. Now mom's in another community and doing well.

No room for loved ones together; nice activities and clean.

"Supportive Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
My mom moved to Stoney River Assisted Living two months ago. Going from independent living to community living has been an adjustment for her. The friendly staff encourages her to participate in various activities, and she's slowly getting involved. They offer activities every day, including religious services. While my mom doesn't complain about the food, she finds the noisy dining room challenging when placing orders. Overall, the facility is helping her transition.
