"Not suitable for those needing assistance or with dementia."

Don't bring your family member here unless they can manage alone. It's not a good place if they have dementia or are starting to show signs. The facility is too large, and not everyone who needs help gets it. You'll likely have to move your family member eventually.

"Safe and Clean Haven"

We really like most of the nurses and caregivers at LakeHouse Sheboygan. They keep the community clean and safe, both inside and out. It's a great place for loved ones.

"Stolen Valuables and Heartbreak at the Terrace Place"

A few years back, bedbugs infested the Terrace Place in Sheboygan. To handle it, residents had to move so they could spray everywhere. When my mom got back to her room, $10,000 of her jewelry and things were missing, including her wedding ring she cherished. Terrace Place didn't want to take the blame. Even though we talked to the police and filled out reports, we never found her precious ring.

"Charming Assisted Living with Covid Challenges"

Terrace Place is a pleasant spot. The food tasted good, and my mom enjoyed her spacious room with a balcony. They offer different floor plans, and the staff is decent. Unfortunately, Covid-19 restrictions have made visiting difficult.

"Mixed Experience at Terrace Place Assisted Living"

Terrace Place has trouble keeping kitchen staff. Last night, no one served us or brought food to our tables. Volunteers had to step in. The food quality varies—sometimes good, sometimes bad. Frozen rolls and overcooked, pale, dry chicken are common. Our apartment is nice, and we use the free laundry room. Activities are great if you're mobile and have a good memory. Daily activities lack participants, but talented musicians get us singing. Happy hour is popular.

"Concerns Over Staffing and Food Service at Assisted Living Facility"

There's a real shortage of staff here, which makes them take a lot longer to respond. This isn't about the staff who are already working here, but it's worrying when you think about how well the residents are being looked after. The food service isn't up to scratch. Hot food usually arrives lukewarm or even cold. Residents have to fill out a menu ahead of time, but their choices are often switched without them knowing. I'm there with my mom during meals and the thing I hear people complain about the most is how long they have to wait. Some people are still waiting for their main course while others are already on dessert.

"Caring Community with Kind Staff"

We helped my friend to find an apartment, but sadly, she never saw it. The community was lovely, and everyone was kind.
