"Concerns Over Staff and Services at Assisted Living"

Many people say this place doesn’t have enough staff, and I’ve noticed it too. There aren’t enough workers to take care of everyone living here. They hire new aides right out of school who still need more training. The workers mean well, but they’re not ready for the job. The cost doesn’t match what we get. Every year, they charge more, but it seems like they’re just trying to save money, not make things better for us. The food is a big problem—it’s not healthy, doesn’t meet most people’s health needs, and tastes like hospital food. There’s not enough fresh stuff like fruit, and too much salt and heavy sauces that aren’t good for people with sugar or heart problems. The people running the place don’t really listen to us or our families. They have meetings where they tell us what’s happening, but they don’t want our opinions. If we speak up, they just say thanks and ignore us. I’m not happy with how they handle rides either. They said we could get rides every day, but it’s only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and there’s not enough room for everyone. My mom had to pay for cabs to her doctor because the bus was full. And I’m worried about safety—people in wheelchairs have fallen because they weren’t strapped in right, and nothing’s been done about it. My mom also ran out of her medicine and had to wait until Monday for more. That’s not okay, and we’re telling the state about it. Even with the price going up, I’m not sure what we’re paying for. My mom often complains about the bad food, some mean nurses, and being bored. The nurses change a lot, which fixes things sometimes, but it’s not a good sign. The staff is nice, and my mom knows how to look after herself. But with all these problems, I’m thinking about whether she should stay here.

"Disheartening Review of Subpar Assisted Living Facility"

This facility seriously lacks sufficient staff who are properly trained, especially for handling residents who require memory care. I've seen staff yelling at these residents. I also noticed residents frequently falling and wandering around in dirty clothes and diapers. My grandma refuses to eat the food because it tastes bad, it is usually undercooked or overcooked. Medication mix-ups are also common; my grandpa was given someone else's medicine. Call lights often go ignored. The aids and cleaners constantly gripe to my grandma about the staffing shortages and being made to work while they're sick. Despite the facility looking new and clean, don't be fooled; the quality of care here is really poor. Furthermore, we keep having to argue with them over incorrect charges on the bill every month.

"Terrible Care and Staffing Issues at Assisted Living Facility"

I strongly suggest you don't let your family members stay at this place if you want them to receive proper care. The quality of care here is really bad, and that's only if you can even locate an available caregiver. They don't have enough staff. The employees aren't shy about telling visitors all about their staffing problems and they also grumble about many other things.

"Missed Opportunity for Great Community: The Addison"

I visited Addison and found it nice. The place looked good, and I got to check out some rooms on a quick tour. But I was concerned they didn’t accept state aid, so I decided not to consider it for my loved one.

"Tour worth taking, but not best fit for my mom."

This place is nice, bright, and open. The staff did a really good job showing me around the assisted living and memory care areas. They also answered all my questions. They suggested that my mom would do well in the memory care section, but I didn't think it was the best fit for her. I'd say take their tour, though. It's a nice place.

"Great tour, helpful staff, clean rooms"

The community here is pretty great, it's clean, sunny and spacious. The people who work here were super with our tour, they took their time to show us around and replied to all our questions. The rooms were good too. If you're looking for a place for your loved one, we recommend you arrange a tour here, to check it out for yourself.

"Clean and Welcoming Assisted Living, Friendly Staff, Room Size Concern"

We visited The Addison of Pleasant Prairie. The people there were nice and showed us around. The place was neat and tidy. We hoped for a slightly larger room for our family member.

"Lovely Place!"

I went to see The Addison, and the guide was super nice. They showed me everything for over an hour and answered all my questions. Since my family member moved there, they're doing fine. The place is clean, bright, and things are going smoothly.

"A Great Place for Mom and Dad"

My mom and dad moved into The Addison of Pleasant Prairie recently, and so far, things have been good. Everything they do and offer has been working out fine.

"Assisted Living Tour: Good Impression, Concerns About Social Atmosphere"

We visited this place when we were looking for a home for my mom. It left a good impression. The reason we didn't pick it is because the people there didn't seem very friendly, and we didn't see anyone from the memory care unit. It made me feel uneasy.
