"Memory Care Facility Falls Short on Staffing and Training"
I was told this place was for people with memory issues, but it's not officially certified for that. There's only one person here who knows about Alzheimer's and dementia care. With about 15 residents and only a few good workers, it's a struggle. Because of this, the workers aren't properly trained to care for the residents like they should be. The rooms aren't always clean, and sometimes there are things left lying around which can be dangerous for someone with Alzheimer's. Especially on weekends, there aren't enough staff around to give the proper care needed.

"Staff Needs Support"
The staff is nice, but they need more help. Sometimes it’s hard to reach someone by phone or get a call back.

"Unkept promises and problems at The Waterford at Colby"
Talk with them first if your family members have certain needs. The bosses said they'd take care of our family’s special needs, but the workers couldn't. We left this place in October and we're still waiting to get our money back. We didn't stay long but so many things messed up and we were super upset. I wouldn't tell anyone to go to The Waterford at Colby.

"My mom loves her new home here!"
My mom felt a bit nervous moving into this community, but the staff did an amazing job helping her adjust and feel comfortable. Although she hasn’t been here long, she absolutely loves it and is very happy with everything. They offer a fantastic activity program she looks forward to, along with three delicious meals a day.

"Managerial Issues and Understaffed: A Disappointing Situation"
The facility looks great, however, they desperately need more staff. The director lacks the professionalism required to honestly discuss challenging issues. My mom was forced to leave her room because of differences in personalities and had to hear about it indirectly. This created complications for our family, her social workers, and the nursing home. I'm truly let down by the management team at the facility. The place may look nice, but be warned, you'll have to provide most of the care for your loved one.
