Wellington Place Rib Mountain

"Understaffed assisted living, improvement needed for better care quality"
My family member stayed at Wellington Place at Rib Mountain. Like many places nowadays, there weren't enough workers, especially on weekends. I've seen this issue in other places too. Having more staff would make everything better. But sometimes, the workers seem frustrated and don't do their best. They even complain to family members about what they lack.

"Care Standards Good, Staffing and Communication Need Improvement"
My family member is being taken care of physically quite well. According to their contract, each resident should have at least four changes of clothes. This resident has about ten changes but ended up wearing the same outfit for five days because the laundry wasn't done. I think this happens because Wellington Place, like many other assisted living and nursing homes, has a tough time finding and keeping qualified employees. When I ask questions, they always redirect me to someone else, who often isn't available (either running errands or off for the day).

"Positive staff and cleanliness, consider before Medicaid acceptance for tours."
I visited this facility for a tour. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering all my questions. The place was clean with spacious rooms. They require a 2-year self-pay period before accepting Medicaid. While I would recommend it for tours, it wasn't suitable for my parents.

"Poor management leads to constant staff turnover and mistreatment."
Does the woman running this place have any idea of what she's doing? She clearly doesn't know how to manage a staff. When employees are quitting left and right, how can residents be treated properly? Good workers are being overworked until they finally leave. I would never suggest someone stay here.

"A Great Place for Mom with Warm Staff and Care"
When I was searching for the right place for my mom, I knew Wellington Place was perfect as soon as I walked in. The staff greeted me with smiles, and the place felt warm and welcoming. My mom has been there for a few months now and loves it. She enjoys talking with the other ladies and taking part in activities. She often mentions how friendly and engaging the activity director is. I also appreciate how well they keep me updated about my mom’s health and needs. The caregivers are attentive and do a fantastic job caring for her. Both my mom and I are very thankful for everything Wellington Place does. A big thank you to the administration and staff.

"Wellington: Unqualified and Unkind Facility, Don't Be Fooled"
My mom stayed at Wellington, Rib Mt for around 7 months and we had nothing but problems. The facility promised daily activities, but there weren't any. The person in charge seems clueless about what's happening and honestly, doesn't seem to care. Some of the staff members are disrespectful and do nothing to make this place feel special. They mainly complain about everything. The most recent issue was they accused my mom of hitting another resident. But after they actually looked into it, it turned out that the other person hit my mom. Even though they claim to be trained for dementia patients, in my experience, they are not. They make a nice first impression and their sales pitch is impressive, but don't let that deceive you. If you genuinely care for your loved one, please don't send them to Wellington. There are many alarming incidents that I could share about our time there. I hope my review helps. I know I would've wanted to know what we were walking into before we sent our mom there.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
I'm not used to these fancy places for seniors. It's so different from a nursing home. I guess the cost is okay for what it offers. The residents can say no to care, and my mother-in-law has dementia, so if she refuses, that's her right. It's a bit confusing for me. I used to work as a nurse, and on dementia units, they couldn't refuse care. They have bingo on Fridays and some other activities during the week, like movies and popcorn. Her room has a view of the mountain she grew up by, which is nice. I know that's where she'd want to be.
