"Understaffed and Neglected: Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

The carpets have stains, and toilets are not cleaned often. They don't have enough staff, and sometimes they don't respond when people need help. If someone can't walk well, they often can't join in activities or go to the activity room.

"Communication Challenges in Otherwise Decent Assisted Living Facility"

The assisted living place changes staff a lot, so it’s hard to keep track of our care plans. They should have more fun things to do. We’ve had problems with how they tell us things, which could be better. It’s decent compared to other places, but they should work on talking to us better, especially since they switch people so often.

"Poor management, inadequate care, continuous alerts, neglectful food service."

Our family went through a terrible time there, every bit of the place needs to be better. The head of the place should stop pretending that she isn't in charge and lying to families. They should hire nurses who actually take care of the people who live there, and not leave them sitting in dirty clothes for hours. They shouldn't have constant alerts going off all day. They should give the residents warm food to eat, that is, when they even remember to feed them.

"Improved Assisted Living with Outstanding Staff"

The facility is pleasant, with spacious rooms. Staffing was a bit short, but they improved the food quality after hiring a new cook. Some outstanding staff members.

"Comfortable and Recommended Assisted Living Community"

It's been a wonderful place for my loved one. They made him feel at ease as soon as he arrived. Overall, it's been a good experience, and I would suggest it to others.

"Inconsiderate Staff, Frequent Alarms, No Move-Out Assistance Offered"

Recently, I aided a buddy in moving from this facility. The top staff woman first refused to give my friend the medication he was entitled to. However, once we threatened legal action, she gave in after 20 minutes, and surrendered his rightfully purchased medicine. When asked if they had any carts to help ease the moving, she bluntly replied, "We don't have any carts." The catch? A full hour and a half of lugging large items around later, another staff person gave us a cart for the last piece to be moved. Apparently, they had been told not to assist in the move out process. Throughout our two hours of moving, an irritating alarm would sound every quarter of an hour. According to my friend, this annoying noise happens round-the-clock, leaving peaceful, uninterrupted sleep an impossible dream for residents. The staff doesn't even bother to turn it off until it's been ringing for over 10 minutes. While the place might look appealing on the outside, the staff seem indifferent to the residents they're paid to care for. If you're moving out, don't expect them to make your transition any smoother. They won't lift a finger, seeing as you're no longer a source of income.

"Not Enough Care and Too Many Unaddressed Problems at Facility"

Mom's care was sadly overlooked by the people in charge. The workers were super friendly and always willing to help, but too often they didn't have enough people to take care of the amount of residents in need. This past spring, there were several occasions when my mom didn't have hot water for her showers. The puzzle room has some windows that are broken so they can't be opened, and the back wing sometimes has a terrible sewage smell. I've seen what looked like poop stains in the hallways. One time I even saw a man sitting in his pee while a woman handed out medications, completely ignoring him. Mom always told me how the management was full of themselves and never went the extra mile to help or even ask about any problems. The lady who runs the office is super rude and doesn't act professionally at all. Mom and some others have heard her swearing quite a bit. I wouldn't recommend sending someone you love here. Despite having some awesome staff members, the not-so-great ones spoil this place.

"Lovely Property, Not Ideal for Mom"

I went on a tour of this place, and it was good. The staff came on time and answered all my questions well. The place was nice and clean for everyone who lives there. But, it didn't end up being the right place for my mom.

"Understaffed Assisted Living: Beautiful but Lacks Sufficient Caregivers"

This place looks really nice, but they don’t have enough people working here. My dad stayed here for a while, and it was okay. But I think they should hire more helpers to take care of the residents. It seems better for seniors who can mostly take care of themselves, not for those who need a lot of help. I’d say it’s good for people who don’t need a ton of care.

"Nice Place for Seniors Who Don’t Need Much Help"

This place looks great, but they don’t have enough workers. My dad’s time here was okay. They really should get more helpers for the people living here. It’s better for older folks who can do things on their own, not for those who need extra help. I’d say it’s good for someone who doesn’t need a lot of care.

"Mixed Impressions at Willow Brooke Point"

I checked out Willow Brooke Point for my mom. The photos looked nice, but the place wasn’t welcoming. Some residents needed more help, yet there weren’t enough staff. During supper, only two people were caring for the whole building. I explored alone because they were busy. The pond was lovely, but the rooms felt small. The chapel was tiny, and the therapy gym was the smallest I’ve seen. Overall, it looked okay, but I couldn’t leave my mom there.

"Attractive Facility, But Lacking Care and Space"

I was hunting for a place for my mom and Willow Brooke Point looked nice in pictures. However, the atmosphere wasn't warm or welcoming. There are residents requiring substantial care, yet not enough staff to meet their needs. I was told to come during meal time, so I visited at dinner. Only two caregivers were present to serve the entire building, with one constantly being interrupted with phone calls while trying to dispense medication. I ended up touring the place alone as staff were clearly overwhelmed. The pond is pretty, but the rooms are small. The chapel is a mere nook and the therapy gym is tiny. Overall, it's a decent place visually, but I couldn’t imagine leaving my mom there.

"Niece of Aunt Dorothy Highly Recommends"

I placed my Aunt at Harmony Assisted Living Cente. Her adjustment was very smooth, and the staff does a great job meeting all her needs. She was very nervous about the move but settled into her new lifestyle really well.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Mixed Experience, Room for Improvement"

It was okay, I guess. The food and meals seemed weird for older folks. Some meals weren't liked by many. The shower setup wasn't great for doing things on your own. Seats were tall and in a corner without a rail, needing help. They didn't always give medicine at the same time daily. They hired an RN, but she was too busy with marketing to do much nursing. They're new and have some problems to fix. They were great at marketing and getting us in, but I was a bit let down. The rooms are more for needing help than being independent.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Meeting Expectations"

This place was okay, I suppose. The food choices weren't great for older folks. The shower setup didn't make it easy to do things on your own. Medications weren't always given at the same time every day. They have a nurse, but she's too busy with marketing to help much. They're new and have some issues to fix. They did a good job of selling to me, though, and were helpful when I was interested. But honestly, the rooms aren't really set up for independence.
