"Food shines; interiors dull; good mid-range option; fancier, pricier alternatives exist."

The food stands out with a new, restaurant-style menu. I chose Cedarhurst for this change. The common areas inside can look a little dull, which is a downside. It's a good choice for mid-priced living, though fancier places cost more.

The facility looked nice, but we chose one closer to family.

"Understaffed Assisted Living Facility Lacks Necessary Medical Support"

This place hasn't been great. It's because of the community and another outside agency. The community doesn't have a nurse or enough staff. They were recently bought out. They don't have enough workers, which seems to be a problem everywhere. We're not happy with the experience we've had so far.

"Chose Willow Pointe for Value and Activities; Recommend to Others"

We picked Willow Pointe because it's affordable and offers lots of activities she enjoys. Pricing was clear from the start, unlike other places. It's a smaller community, which is what we wanted. The rooms are spacious and nice. I would suggest it to others.

"Caring staff, but needs more activities"

My dad is in Memory Care at Willow Pointe. I live close and visit 4-5 times a week. The staff is very nice and takes good care of the residents' needs, both physical and emotional. They make it a happy place. I just wish they had more different activities for the residents.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Basic Care Responsibilities"

This place doesn't always do what they're paid for. They forget to help with laundry, run out of toilet paper a lot, and sometimes don't help residents get dressed or out of bed like they're supposed to. They're slow to clean up bathroom messes, and the management team seems really disorganized. You often have to ask multiple times for important things or help.

"Assisted Living Tour - Good Features but Still Deciding"

Nice place, seems lively. I’ll compare options for best fit. Friendly staff, helpful info packet. Thanks for the tour!

"Neglected residents and poor facility management led to moving father out."

Some employees at the Memory Care unit are skilled and genuinely caring but the facility suffers from poor management, causing a lot of confusion and miscommunication. It's hard for families to navigate who to coordinate with because the Director is hardly seen around and the sales person disappears after you've moved in. My dad came back from the hospital with specific meal instructions but those weren't shared with the staff, so he was made to walk to the dining hall. They advertise a full slate of activities but more often than not, residents end up just watching TV in their rooms. There's a lack of respect for personal schedules, especially with the staff waking my dad from deep sleep for his showers. We had to deal with a number of problems like ants invading my dad's room (and a few others), a leaking toilet, and a thermostat issue that kept his room at over 80 degrees for a week. While the food is good, they sometimes run out and don't offer enough snacks. The building is designed well but there are employees who would rather be on their phones or listening to music rather than interacting with the residents. We decided to move my father out due to the multitude of problems that weren't handled properly by the management.

"Outdated Facility with Pleasant Staff, Unsuitable for Mom's Needs"

The people who worked here were really nice and they showed us around well. They took their time and answered our questions. Mom and I thought the place was a bit old-fashioned and it smelled weird. The rooms weren't what mom wanted, so she knew she wouldn't like it here.
