"Horrific Conditions at Assisted Living Facility: Broken AC, Poor Cleanliness"
The air conditioner in the resident rooms at this facility never worked. My family member had to deal with this issue during their entire stay there. Someone told me that it's been broken for the past year. Strangely, if you stepped into the director's area, it was perfectly cool. The staff was also remodeling the rooms and the smells from the glue they were using were overwhelming. It was hard to breathe because of them. All the residents, including my family member, were crammed into shared spaces for the whole day. My loved one was found in a wheelchair, her clothes completely wet. The cleaning practices at this place were almost non-existent. I found dust, dead bugs, and other nasty things under the bed and behind furniture when we moved out. I guess cleaning staff never thought of moving things to clean properly. My loved one was extremely underweight when we moved her out, only 83 pounds. She claimed that the food there was disgusting and inedible.

"Great Staff, Fun Activities, and Renovations at Celebration Villa"
The staff at Celebration Villa of Teays Valley are great. Especially [name removed], the main nurse, and [name removed], who helps a lot with the residents in wheelchairs. They have fun activities, and the staff works hard to make everything enjoyable, like the picnics, Halloween parties, Thanksgiving dinner, and the indoor carnival. They are also fixing up many areas, which is a good thing. The new furniture was a smart choice. It’s a bit pricey, but pretty average compared to other places nearby.

"Great Staff, But Business Side Needs Improvement"
The staff who work directly with the residents are doing a great job, especially since they don't get paid much and aren't trained enough. However, the people who handle the business and financial stuff aren't as caring or understanding. I used to be a business manager, so I know it's hard to balance making money with keeping employees and residents happy. I wasn't happy with the business side at Celebration Villa.

"Assisted Living Needs Improvement in Hygiene, but Friendly Staff"
The place is good with activities, and my grandma enjoys the food. But sometimes, they forget to clean her up and change her clothes every day. We've visited several times, and she's worn the same outfit for four days straight. However, the staff is really nice.

"Great Assisted Living Experience"
We love Celebration Villa of Teays Valley! It’s a lively, happy place. The staff is great—they quickly help my aunt when she needs it. Even if she doesn’t want to eat in the dining room, they bring her food. They organize fun games and activities, like old western trivia. The facility is beautiful, with a double fireplace and a fish aquarium. I appreciate their 7 levels of care for assisted living. They evaluate residents thoroughly, and if they pass level 7, they move to memory care. I highly recommend Celebration Villa!” .

"Staff Evaluation Matters for Independence"
Before hiring, make sure to evaluate the staff. Some aides seem unwilling to work, and I prefer maintaining my independence without being told what to do.

"Adequate Care, Staff Now More Responsive"
The review is mixed. The staff listens and tries to help out. They’ve just added more people to the team. My thoughts are based on how it was before they hired more help. Overall, it’s been a pretty decent place to stay.

"Poor Communication and Service in Assisted Living Facility"
This place isn't great. They messed up medicine twice. The workers are okay. But, they don't talk well with us. When problems come up, they don't tell us anything. For how much we pay, activities for memory care are bad. My family member's room isn't kept clean, and they don't refill toilet paper. Whenever there's a problem, no one works together. The bosses are really bad. Overall, I wouldn't suggest this place.
