"Short-staffed Facility Negligently Neglects Nursing Home Patients"
The staff at this place were kind and knew what they were doing, but there weren't nearly enough of them. It was crazy! People with memory issues were strolling around unattended, looking for workers they couldn't find. One time, we visited and spent ages hunting for someone so we could get help for someone. At last, we found the only two aides working. They were out on a side porch smoking, probably thinking no one would see them. There was also a nasty smell of urine everywhere. Even after our family member left, they tried to keep billing us for several more months. They shouldn't say they can take care of nursing home patients either when they clearly can't. They should only take residents who need light assistance. Plus, our family member got awful bed sores because they didn't have enough staff to change him like they should.

Overall, it’s probably the best in Wood County. I chose this place because it’s close to my home.”

"Assisted Living Review: Mixed Improvements"
Overall, it depends. The place has improved since my wife arrived. It's clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The meals are okay, but my wife is picky about food. They try their best to assist her. I think they need more aides. The activities are fine, but my wife can't participate in some. It's similar to other options in the area.

"Safe and caring place for dad; recommend to others."
The staff is super nice and pays good attention. They know a lot about my dad. I feel like he's safe there, which was the most important thing for us. From our experience so far, I would suggest this community to others, and I already have.

"Cedar Grove Needs Improvements"
We visited Cedar Grove, and the sales lady [name removed] was great, but the facility needs improvement. It felt old and sad, and it cost more. Unfortunately, there was no bathroom in Dad’s room.

""Painful Experience: Overpriced Facility Neglects and Mishandles Residents""
My experience here was just awful. The building smelled terrible, and they even let the resident across from my relative store urine in containers in her room. They tried to stop the odor by placing towels under the door, but it didn't help. The staff often grumbled about their back pain when they assisted my 250lb mother-in-law in and out of her wheelchair for restroom use, making her feel like a burden. Her care was unacceptable. She was rarely bathed and constantly falling, which left her covered in bruises. Because of these injuries, the hospital staff questioned our decisions about her care. The room she stayed in was so cramped that a wheelchair could hardly fit next to her bed. Despite the subpar care, the facility charges a high price.

"Neglectful Assisted Living Facility: Mom's Terrible Experience"
This was the absolute worst place for my mom! Her room was disgusting and she looked even worse. They let her carpet get all nasty and dirty and didn't even care if her clothes were torn or stained. When she started losing strength in her legs, did they try to help her exercise? Nope! Instead, her legs started to change color. She even had some of her personal stuff stolen. The nursing director, Storm, and the facility director didn't apologize or anything. They acted like it wasn't a big deal. Whenever we wanted explanations, they would just give us flimsy excuses and then stopped talking to my sister and me about everything. Even worse, the state agency that's supposed to manage their license and the company that owns the place didn't do much either. They said they carried out inspections and found nothing wrong. Some state representative basically said she didn't want to be involved. Then, to top it all off, a couple of aides let my mom fall and she had to go to the hospital because of it.

"Affordable, attentive, good food. Recommend to others."
We chose this place because it's cheaper than others. The nursing staff promptly updates me on any issues. Communication between families and caregivers could be better. They serve tasty food with generous portions. I'd recommend it to other families.

"Understaffed Assisted Living Facility Struggles to Meet Residents' Needs"
The workers do their best, but there's not enough of them, so they're really tired and busy, just like at other places.

"Good place with attentive staff and decent care"
I think Cedar Grove is a good place to be. Like with any place, you need to listen to what your family member says and compare it with what the staff reports. My loved one just wants to go home, but not really because of Cedar Grove. To me, it seems like a decent place where I wouldn't mind being if I needed that kind of care.

"Great for My Mom, But Not for Everyone"
We had my mom at another place, but she was bored and would wander around. We thought Cedar Grove would be better for her. My mom was very happy there. I liked the community so much that I told a family friend about it for her mom. But we felt her mom wasn’t evaluated well and had to move to a place with more care.
